I actually can’t think of anything more magical and life changing than bringing your new baby into the world for the first time. As anyone who has had a baby knows, after the last months of pregnancy dragging out, this little window of newborn bliss is over in the blink of an eye. Capturing newborns is one of my favourite things to do and as a mum who has very little photos with her now grown babies, I am so passionate about including the whole family, especially mum, in my newborn sessions. It was so lovely to meet this beautiful family who stopped in to see me before heading back to their Central Qld home after having their second little man in Mackay.

Rather than using lots of props and backdrops, my focus is always on family connection. Even though cheeky toddlers are usually harder to wrangle, with their world suddenly turned upside down with the arrival of their baby sibling, I also try my best to capture at least a few whole family photos before focusing in on the details of your precious new baby.
